Travelling, moving abroad or simply exploring a new city should never mean losing touch with your faith. Our goal is simple: help you find, on the spot, everything you need to practise, and the right people to turn to.
Our mission
For a traveller or an expatriate, the first questions are often practical. Where is the nearest mosque? When is the next prayer, and which way is the Qibla? Where can I eat halal, buy groceries I trust, enrol my children in a Quran class, or reach a Muslim association that can help? MosqueFinder brings these answers together in one place, with reliable listings, local prayer times and clear guides so you can practise your faith with confidence and peace of mind.
More than a mosque directory
The mosque is the heart of Muslim life, so it is our starting point. But a practising life needs more than a place to pray. That is why MosqueFinder is growing into a guide to the whole ecosystem around the believer: find mosques, Halal restaurants, halal grocers and butchers, Islamic shops, Quran schools and Muslim associations. Alongside the directory, our our guides and Glossary explain the practice itself, from a first visit to a mosque to the meaning of the terms you will meet along the way.
Free, and built by the community
MosqueFinder is completely free to use. There is no paywall and no account required. It is also community-built: much of what you find here has been suggested, corrected and enriched by users like you. Every mosque you add or correct, every detail you improve, helps another traveller who arrives after you. This spirit of mutual help, of giving a little so the whole community benefits, is the reason the project exists.
Who is behind MosqueFinder
My name is Kamel Belgacem. MosqueFinder is a humble contribution I wanted to make to the community, drawing on my knowledge and my background in IT, and on the values of exchange and mutual aid that I hold dear. It reflects my personal convictions and my commitment: above all, it is a transmission of knowledge and solidarity that I am proud to pass on as a digital legacy, in keeping with my cultural roots, Algerian and French, and as part of what I hope to leave to the education of my children.
